Biochemical association between the prevalence of genetic polymorphism and myocardial infarction

چکیده

Genetic polymorphism has a vital role in the pathogenesis and development of myocardial infarction (MI). Single nucleotide at any one amino acid sequences can result diseased state. A single gene exhibit genetic more than position giving rise to different variants. angiotensinogen (AGT) M235T, AGT T174M, angiotensin-1-converting enzyme (ACE) I/D, endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS), methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) be risk factor for MI. However, it is important study prevalence polymorphisms these genes among populations. MI influenced by various genes, including AGT, ACE, eNOS, MTHFR, etc. association varies populations, but ethnic groups could show contradictory results. These have shown positive with risks some whereas results not been consistent every group. In this article, we summarized variations aforementioned their

Association between IL-1beta gene polymorphism and myocardial infarction.

Polymorphism and Myocardial Infarction To the Editor: We read with great interest the study by Iacoviello et al.1 They investigated IL-1 gene polymorphism ( 511C/T) in 406 patients with myocardial infarction (MI) at young age and 419 controls and reported the TT genotype to be inversely associated with MI. Moreover, they demonstrated mononuclear cells with TT homozygote to show decreased IL-1 p...

Association between ESR2 genetic variants and risk of myocardial infarction.

BACKGROUND Environmental and genetic factors contribute to the development of complex diseases such as myocardial infarction (MI), the leading cause of death in men and women. Women develop MI approximately 10 years later than men, a difference that could be explained by the genes coding for the estrogen receptors. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the ESR2 gene may affect susceptibilit...
